Post Card Drive

Please join in the movement by mailing your senators and representatives with your input. Below are the mailing addresses for Colorado Senators and Representatives.

Please note their committee assignments and possibly consider special messages pertinent to the committees they serve on.

Post card stamps are 34 cents and size needs to be minimum 3.5 x 5 and maximum 4.25 x 6 inches. Paper should be card stock weight. It is recommended that you write a short message about how you feel about a specific issue and sign your name and zip code.

Some things to keep in mind for your postcard:

1. Identify yourself as a voter (name and town or zip-code is fine)

2. Voice your concern ("I am opposed to ________) Keep is short and simple!

3. Thank them, and

4. Sign the postcard

Here is a sample postcard script, edit it to fit the message you want to send:

Dear Senator Bennet

My name is (Chris Doe) and I am a voting resident of (Fraser, CO 80442).

I am opposed to ____________________________, and I urge you to vote (YES or NO) on this issue.

Thank you for your service.

Sincerely,

(Chris Doe)

It goes without saying that you can urge a YES vote as well as a NO vote.

Also send a Thank You note when our elected official does the right thing!

Good luck, and remember - YOUR voice counts!

Colorado Representatives - other districts

Your will likely have the most impact on Jared Polis, US Representative for Grand County. Representatives for other Colorado districts are less likely to be swayed by what they see as 'non-constituents' since they don't get our vote, but if you feel the need GO for it anyway! 🙂
